Old front door entry roof.

New roof decking and trim.
Above the front entry, currently being stripped and sanded, the old roof decking and trim boards have been removed and new wood installed. The small soffit area had a little damage from leaks but was in good enough shape to be left intact. The new trim is

Copper roof drip edge installed.
The new siding, primed and painted, is installed against the roof decking at the edge and over the underlayment and against the wall before installing the metal roofing. Copper drip edge is fabricated from sixteen ounce cold rolled sheet on a sheet metal

Copper roof edge.
Copper roof drip edge is fabricated with a quarter inch hem on the bottom, bent at a forty five degree angle, to direct rain water away from the wood trim. The side piece is installed first with the bottom hem and top edge cut at the corner and the center

Roof hip cut.
The roof deck was made with a slight pitch and as a three sided roof. Cuts are made in the back vertical bend so that the copper panel will lay flat at the edges. Small pieces of copper are cut and bent to fit behind the cuts and are soldered.

Copper entry roof installed.
