Cricket - Copper chimney cricket. Spanish clay tile. This copper roof cricket was installed after the original copper flashing failed. The original flashing had been repaired quite a few time by being coated with asphalt roof cement. The clay tile roofing was removed first, then the old flashing removed and the roof deck repaired. New copper flashing was fabricated, installed and soldered. Then the counterflashing was inserted into cleaned morter joints and new maching morter installed.
